Professor Melissa Hines Professor of Psychology
Melissa is the study’s Principal Investigator and a lecturing professor at the University of Cambridge. She has worked with individuals with CAH and published scientific papers on CAH for over 25 years.
Dr Debra Spencer Research Associate
Debra is the lead researcher of the study, who carries out the research sessions and analyzes the data. She has previously worked on the Hormones & Child Behaviour study at the University of Cambridge as well as publishing numerous papers in leading journals.
Dr Ajay Thankamony Consultant Paediatrician in Endocrinology & Diabetes, Addenbrooke’s Hospital
Research focus: role of growth hormone and Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 in metabolism; determinants of response to growth hormone treatment in children; markers of prenatal androgen action; prenatal exposure to endocrine disruptors and fetal testicular function; prenatal androgen exposure and behaviour.
Dr Rieko Tadokoro-Cuccaro Research Assistant
Rieko also specializes in endocrinology and works in the Department of Paediatrics. She accesses medical information before and after the study session and recruits patients from NHS trusts across the region.
Beth Stevens Study Co-ordinator
Beth recruits and schedules participants for the study. She will be your first point of contact if you decide to participate!
